New Cementing Technology by Archer
According to WorldOil Archer has launched a new generation of its Cflex technology, the Cflex MKII-F.
Cflex enables high-performance multistage cementing and the latest version provides the added functionality of a flexible annulus cement base. The innovative technology offers enhanced cement direction control, an improved method of retaining cement, minimization of cement contamination and reduced operational requirements.
Hugo Idsoe, V.P., Archer Oiltools, said, “We’re incredibly pleased with the way Cflex MKII-F has performed during in-house testing. We’re proud to build upon the success of the original Cflex design by adding additional features that aid in cement direction control and cement retention.”
“The V0 certified product has a built-in fundament that is activated during the opening of the cement ports. This key feature helps operators secure the integrity of wells when the formation has weak zones that prevent desired cement height.”
Cflex technology enables high-performance multistage cementing. Certified “gas tight” under ISO 14310/14998 V0, and with a two-stage permanent lock system, Cflex performs to the highest integrity standards. Installing Cflex at one or more casing joints gives operators flexibility, reliability and far greater confidence in cementing operations.
